Event poster & identity designed by Kevin Tucker @ Collide
To most of America, Willie Nelson is a household name, as it is here at Collide, which is why we were SO excited to be able to create the branding and packaging for his new album, Remember Me Vol. 1. The new release from Willie Nelson and R&J Records, has plenty of familiar standards recorded by Willie with producer James Stroud from the “classic country songbook” made famous by the likes of Johnny Cash, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Porter Wagoner, and Vern Gosdin, and others – all with Willie’s signature twist!
To reflect this rich heritage in the packaging, we revisited the classic LP style (a vinyl edition of the album is on its way too), and created a digital photo-illustration for the cover to add to the timeless, classic quality. We hope you enjoy this project as much as we do. It’s now available on CD (Amazon) and digital (iTunes).

Collide has been very excited to work with the very talented Gary Voelker on a fresh new identity system for his company Experience Studios, a Washington-based production studio that will be sponsoring the film festival at the Gideon Conference this year. Check out the new logo or click here to see it in action in the promo film created by Experience Studios. Then visit the Experience Studios website or Facebook page for more information on how to enter the contest or attend the Gideon Media Arts Conference.
We created materials for The Village Chapel‘s Christmas theme “O Come Let Us Adore Him.” Putting large focus on the gorgeous illustration by Kim Thomas, these materials include bulletins, programs, and on-screen graphics, and are being used throughout the month of December for their regular services, and at the special Christmas service. Below are samples of a few of these items. Merry Christmas!
LoCash Cowboys are new to the country scene, with their energetic and innovative style they really separate themselves from your grandma’s country! For “Keep in Mind” they took a step back from their edgier norm and created this truly beautiful ballad. Collide (with the photography of Allen Clark) in creating the art for this single, tried to soften things up a bit without taking away the LoCash personality. What you see here is an ad for the single “Keep in Mind” and the original logo created for the band. Look for more of our work with these guys in the future, we’re having a blast!
Collide was blessed to be able to design the conference materials for The Gideons International this year. Along with Gideons Art Director Jeff Jones, Collide created a fresh approach to a centuries old idea. Focusing on individual people and their place in this organization, Collide created a visual army one person at a time. Also check out the motion graphics based on these designs, created by frequent collaborators Fivestone Studios and if you have a few minutes, check out the website [see link above] for The Gideons International. Their history is truly fascinating!
Brand new on the scene and showing off a blend of soul-infused country, sisters Leslie and Brooke Martin, as Winfield’s Locket, just released their debut album which is now available on iTunes.
For this project, they were looking for a combination of gothic flair, vintage country and classic femininity for their identity and packaging. This is what Collide came up with:
This year’s Christmas season theme at long-standing client The Village Chapel centers around the word “Glory.” Utilizing a custom pattern, and centering on a type treatment that incorporates the pattern as part of it, deliverables include a bulletin, as well as re-facing the website for the season, as well as a 6′ wide display banner, all shown below, as well as on-screen elements. The season culminates in the church’s amazing annual Christmas concert, which is this Sunday, Dec. 13 (details at the above link, if you’re in the Nashville area and interested in attending).
For the past several years, longtime client The Village Chapel have developed a yearly theme, which ties in to the main visual elements of the church. This has always taken the form of a collaboration with the amazing artist Kim Thomas, who, in this case created sculptures as part of an installation which was on display at the front of the church throughout the year. Collide worked on the bulletin design, incorporating the sculptures via the photography of Allen Clark, playing out theme of “The Postures of Faith” in four parts. See below for the resulting designs, and the installation on display in the church. I could go on explaining, but I think these speak for themselves.
